MAN Centralized Language
A new feature requested by the OEM was implemented in the 1C MAN OEM Connekt: "Centralized Language". This is for the language selected on the Truck cluster to be forced to all displays, including the tachograph. However this is not activated yet on the trucks. The consequence is that the Driver card language is not recognized by the tachograph.
The feature has been removed from the now-delivering MAN OEM Connekt. But it needs to be deactivated on the units shipped previously. We are working on a solution to do this.
With the current Optimo SW, a temporary workaround is possible: change the tachograph default language to the customer preferred language. This requires a valid 1C workshop card, and will not allow for driver card language to be recognized.
Optimo 5.3 SW
The Optimo 5.3 software version is released for covering the 1C SE5000 Configuration station. You will find the links and detailed release content in the SIL19_009B. It is a FOC upgrade over 5.1 version, but a chargeable 6810-004 upgrade over "4.x" versions.
All Optimo² units produced from April, 2019 are being released with the 1C Optimo software (5.1 or later), but still require the MKIII App to be activated FOC. Please request the activation key via email@example.com as usual. The production line started installing the version 5.3 from June 4th.
1C & DSRC module AM retrofit kit
The retrofit kit includes a Connekt, a DSRC module wired to the VU C-plug, plug-and-play cable and cover. It does not include the sender. Price list and references have been sent by email in May. The fitting guidelines are available in document 6810-036.
Please note that Stoneridge company position is to not accept returned 1C seals anymore. We cannot ensure full trace-ability for those, and therefore will not accept returns of reference 6810-019. We encourage you to refuse returns from workshops, unless you are in a position to verify S/N' one by one.
Warranty replacement of SE5000-8 that is paired to a Kitas4 sensor needs to follow a special process. The Kitas4 sensor has a single pairing feature and the sensor will not pair to a new Tachograph if it has already been paired with the unit that is replaced. Therefor when making the warranty claim the Kitas4 sensor needs to be sent in with the Tachograph to Stoneridge. If the warranty claim on the Tachograph is accepted then Stoneridge will ship a new sensor with the replacement Tachograph (Stoneridge reserves the right to send any of the sensors that is type approved with the SE5000-8).
