1C tachograph system

For supporting 1C tachograph system, your workshops will need what was presented at the Prague seminar:

Spare parts: the new seals (1C seals), VU (SE5000_8), DSRC Modules and cables (6810-005 & 6810-006).
1C workshop card from your authority: availability is from March 15^th per the 216/799 legislation but please check with your authorities since some countries are late.
Optimo² version 5.1 with new “5.0” digital dongle: the upgrade itself is our reference 6810-004 and includes both the SW upgrade and the Dongle upgrade.
DSRC Handheld transceiver reference 6810-001 and DSRC Verifying tool (OBU Tester) reference 6810-003.
GNSS Kit “ROGER” (optional) 7810-004.
Seals tracking system: will be accessible via the Workshop page, by clicking the warranty button.

Optimo 5.1 will be released early April. Any Optimo bought in 2019 will get the upgrade to 5.1 or above FOC.

1C card status

We have supplied a UK-DVSA set of 1C training cards. The workshop card PIN code is 1234.

We still have a larger order of country specific 1C training cards placed at Gemalto, but with no lead-time. Gemalto are focused on larger/national orders.

Legislation calls for the 1C workshop cards to be available from your respective country national authority from March 15^th, but many have declared delays.

Optimo 5.1 SW release

Our timing is to release it to production and field on week 14.

From week 14, for upgrading Optimo² running 1B software version, you will be provided a SW activation key and loading instructions (SIL 19_003); please request the activation key through [email protected], following the process described in the SIL 19_003.

Optimo 5.1 will allow calibration of all 1C tachographs, VDO as well as Stoneridge. It will also contain bug-fixes over 5.0.

1C after-market VU configuration station updates are planned for version 5.2 ; if a production VU should fail during initial calibration before 5.2 is available, we would arrange for a pre-configured OEM replacement unit being delivered.

Warranty

As indicated during the Prague 1C Seminar, your contact details for warranty returns and for Optimo repairs are now located in the product factories. Please process warranties online through www.stoneridgeelectronics.com/workshop. This facility is available to all Stoneridge registered importers. If your Stoneridge account number is not recognized by the system, please send it to [email protected] for it to be incorporated.

The units must be returned directly to the following address / point of contact.

If your product is not in the lists below and you feel it should be handled as a warranty by Stoneridge, please contact [email protected] with description and reference, and we will indicate you if and where to send it. Items not in the list, sent to Tallinn without prior agreement from the Importer support team, will not be handled in Tallinn and will not be returned to you either.

N.B.: You can reject warranties yourselves, if the unit is out of date or has been obviously tampered with.

Optimo chargers

Optimo 1 charger: this is not available anymore.

Optimo² DELL charger: this is not available from Stoneridge or DELL anymore, please look for a 30W USB-C DA30NM150 DELL Charger on open market.

Optimo² LINX charger: this is not available from Stoneridge as a spare part, please go to open market for any USB-B 2.1A maximum charger capacity.

CITO2 software update containing the features presented in the training powerpoint will be released late March to the existing markets.

Extranet Project

Our Marketing team and the Importer support team will be reworking the current Stoneridge website Workshop page into a specific importers interface for improving our communication to you. To properly address your needs, a survey will be sent out to you shortly, for collecting your inputs by March end. This will take no more than 10 minutes to fill in.
